Our Home

Rembrandt Court is nestled away off Morphett Road, Oaklands Park in Adelaide’s inner southern suburbs. We are within walking distance to the Oaklands Wetland, a 20-minute drive from the City, close to public transport and Marion Shopping Centre and only a short drive to some of Adelaide’s best beaches.

Our home is exactly that – a home! If you want a hotel or institution-feel, Rembrandt Court is not for you. Our home has décor and furniture designed specifically to be reminiscent of a resident’s home in the community. Our halls are filled with trinkets, photos, memorabilia from days gone by and of course tributes to our Dutch heritage.

Our home is proudly small – with only 87 rooms, we are able to take the time to treat each person like the individual they are – everyone is known by their name!

Our Facilities

Our spacious site is spread across landscaped grounds, and includes design features that ensure all individual rooms and common areas take advantage of the garden outlooks. Our floor plan ensures a cosy, home-like environment with areas that allow for individual, small and large group gatherings as the residents please. You’re invited to talk to us via phone on (08) 8198 0392 or email us to make an appointment for a personal, guided tour and see for yourself.

We have 4 separate wings which we call ‘houses,’ all named after flowers, each with its own dining room and lounge room:

  • Rose House
  • Magnolia House (Memory Support)
  • Daffodil House (first floor)
  • Tulip House

Our Rooms

All of our rooms are individual rooms with ensuite bathrooms. Each is well appointed featuring a German-made electric bed with pressure redistribution mattress, bedside lockable cabinet, built-in wardrobe and individual heating and cooling for all year comfort, and optional telephone and Wi-Fi.

The neutral décor will allow you to make the room “your home” by bringing in your favourite pieces of furniture and personal effects to reflect your personality.

We have two categories of rooms:

Our Model of Care

Our highly skilled, culturally and linguistically diverse staff team caters for our residents who come from more than 10 different cultures. Our nurturing qualities give you a sense of belonging to our family and the Rembrandt community.

We understand everyone’s situation will vary and ageing affects us all in different ways. We’ll get to know you and the people who are important to you, get to know your life story and experiences, your needs and wants and make sure you receive the care and support that you feel is right for you or your loved one.

Our Care Professionals

Our team of nurses and carers are highly trained and are given the time needed to provide truly individual tailored care. These combined with our onsite General Practitioner (doctor) make for the best quality care. You’ll be in good hands with our expert team who work to support residents to live as independently and safely as possible.

Our allied health team focuses on wellbeing, reablement and rehabilitation. This team ensures our residents have elder-friendly, effective and fun allied health services. The primary focus is on delivering Occupational Therapy (OT) and Physiotherapy services to restore and or maintain residents’ strength and balance. You’ll find that we provide individual and group sessions to suit the needs of beginner, intermediate and advanced functional abilities. Our group classes incorporate a strong social component to help with building positive relationships and social ties within the Rembrandt community. Visit our Facebook page to see what we mean.

Our Memory Support Focus

At Rembrandt Court the memory support unit is purpose-built to provide the best possible setting to deliver a high level of specialised and professional care for people living with dementia. Our commitment to this important support is shown by our priority to become one of only a few organisations in Australia accredited in Teepa Snow dementia care techniques and practices recognised world-wide. You’ll be impressed by the understanding our staff have of this complex issue and how they translate these into the care they provide.

Charter for Care Recipients’ Rights and Responsibilities – Residential Care

All people receiving Australian Government funded residential care, home care or other aged care services in the community have rights. Click here to view. These are important rights and at Rembrandt Living we take them very seriously. All staff and volunteers are trained to protect the rights of our people and appropriate systems and checks are put into place. Additionally, our residents, community and allied health care consumers and their representatives have a voice. They can express their ideas, needs or concerns through the Board’s Consumer Reference Group, via the Residents’ Meetings held weekly or through the support of Aged Rights Advocacy Service
